The Hidalgo County Regional Mobility Authority officially broke ground on Phase II of the SH 365 Tollway on June 12, 2022, marking an important milestone in a project that represents the first tollway in Hidalgo County. The project is designed to improve roadway safety, enhance international trade routes, and separate overweight truck traffic from passenger vehicles. As construction progresses, the SH 365 Tollway moves closer to providing faster, safer, and more efficient travel throughout the region.

The Hidalgo County Regional Mobility Authority has been recognized as the 2024 Outstanding Engineering Organization of the Year by the Rio Grande Valley Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers.
