Our Programs
The Hidalgo County Regional Mobility Authority (HCRMA) works to improve mobility, safety, and
economic growth. Through innovative programs and projects, we reduce congestion, expand
connectivity, and support commerce, helping move Hidalgo forward.
Overweight/Oversize Permit
This program allows carriers to move heavy or large loads safely on approved routes within the Hidalgo County Corridor. HCRMA issues permits for overweight vehicles (up to 125,000 lbs) and oversized vehicles (up to 12 feet wide, 16 feet high, or 110 feet long). A permit is required for one-way trips when a vehicle exceeds normal size or weight limits. The program supports trade and local industry while helping protect our roads.

Tolling
Through our Tolling Program, we reduce congestion, improve connectivity, and provide funding for future roadway improvements. A key part of this effort is the 365 Tollway, which uses an all-electronic system so drivers can travel safely and efficiently without stopping at toll booths.
